Jail changing inmate communication system

Posted

OKEECHOBEE — On June 30, the Okeechobee County Jail will be transitioning to HomeWAV for inmate communications.

Due to the service transition, limited communication devices will be available until the change is complete. However, video and phone communication will still be available.

OCSO is looking at mid-July for the complete installation of all communication devices. Once installed, inmate communication will be more accessible than previously available.

OCSO will also provide more information on the benefits and accessibility HomeWAV offers on FaceBook and the www.okeesheriff.org website soon.
