• Moore Haven Terriers (1-2)
The Moore Haven Terriers will be on the road taking on the 4-3 Neumann Celtics in Naples in the regional quarterfinals this week. The two teams last met back in 2018, which the Celtics won in overtime on a missed extra point by Moore Haven. Obviously both teams are much different now, and 2020 has made everything hard to predict. But it should be a entertaining match-up and valuable playoff experience for a Terrier squad on the younger side. The Terriers and Celtics kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 13.

• Glades Day Gators (2-6)

The Glades Day Gators’ season came to an end last week with their 65-7 loss to the Champagnat Catholic Lions. The Lions are 6-2 this year and were a brutal draw for the Gators to open the playoffs. Champagnat is a perennial contender for a state title. The Gators competed in some tough games this year but should be able to use that experience going forward into next season.

• Clewiston Tigers (6-1)
Speaking of brutal draws in the first round, the Clewiston Tigers are scheduled to face Cardinal Gibbons this week in the regional quarterfinal. Cardinal Gibbons is currently ranked by MaxPreps as the 11th best team in the state. For comparison MaxPreps lists Clewiston as number 101 in the State of Florida. But the Tigers have played good football this season in every phase of the game and could shock Cardinal Gibbons this week, no matter what their MaxPreps ranking is. Clewiston and Cardinal Gibbons kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 13.

• Okeechobee Brahmans (5-4)
The Okeechobee Brahmans fell short against the Sebastian River Sharks on Nov. 6, losing 7-0. It was no doubt a disappointing ending for the Brahmans, who couldn’t overcome turnovers and penalties throughout the game. But Okeechobee has to be proud of what they were able to do overall this season. The Brahmans were able to put together their first winning season since 2016, and many of the core skill players will be back for next year. The future of the Brahman football program is looking bright.
