OKEECHOBEE — As the latest step in an initiative to recruit physicians to our community, construction has now begun on a new 53,000 square foot state-of-the-art medical office building in Okeechobee. Raulerson Hospital leadership team alongside the HCA Healthcare East Florida Division executive leadership team participated in a groundbreaking ceremony of their new medical office building.

The four-story structure will become the tallest building in Okeechobee County, serving as the new home to administration, patient registration and main hospital lobby which will create increased capacity within the existing hospital. The new medical office building will also provide much-needed space for Raulerson Hospital to offer more physicians an office space of their own, a tool that will encourage more physicians to practice in our community.

Construction could be complete as early as November 2021.
