FORT PIERCE, FL/ROSWELL, GA — On Dec. 9, Indian River State College (IRSC) and Trinity School of Medicine announced a new partnership to create a guaranteed pathway to an accredited medical school for IRSC students seeking to become physicians. Students graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology from IRSC, who have eligible MCAT scores and GPAs are guaranteed admission into the medical school.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to provide IRSC students a high-quality, affordable and accessible pathway into an accredited medical school.” says Sam Mahra, Regional Director of Admissions at Trinity School of Medicine. “Our institutions have comprehensive support systems which will further set students up for medical school and career success.”

“A recent report from the Association of Medical Colleges reports that the United States will face a shortage of physicians as early as 2033,” shares Dr. Anthony Dribben, Dean of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at IRSC. “At IRSC we prepare our Biology students with rigorous academics and experiential learning opportunities that together provide a solid foundation for their future career and educational endeavors. For those seeking to become physicians, we are delighted that this partnership with Trinity School of Medicine offers a clear and critical pathway to realize those goals.”

The benefits of this new partnership include:
• Guaranteed admission to an accredited medical school for qualified IRSC graduates
• Greater educational and scholarship opportunities for IRSC students
• Enhanced medical school admission guidance from Trinity School of Medicine staff
• Responsiveness to solving the physician shortage in the U.S.
