OKEECHOBEE — An Okeechobee man was arrested on  June 3 after allegedly threatening a customer with a knife when he asked for his coleslaw.

According to the arrest report,  Okeechobee County Deputy Wolgamott was dispatched to the VFW on Northwest 34th Street at approximately 8 p.m. on Friday. When he arrived, the man who called 911 said he and his wife ordered dinner from the VFW. He said they picked it up and took it home but then realized their coleslaw was not in the bag. He went back to the VFW and into the kitchen area to tell the cook, Scott Wright, 55, that his coleslaw was missing. He said Wright began yelling at him to get out of the kitchen then grabbed a large kitchen knife and came toward him and yelled, " I will ****ing gut you!"
