Road closure begins Sept. 10 on Francisco Street at railroad crossing

CLEWISTON — Beginning Friday, Sept.10, 2021, South Central Florida Express (SCFE) will be conducting railroad improvements at the railroad crossing on Francisco Street in Clewiston. The work includes replacement of a rail through the railroad crossing.

Operations will require Francisco Street railroad crossing to be closed. Visual message signs and traffic control signage will be in place to detour traffic.

Motorists should allow extra time for their commute.

The work is expected to have a completion time of approximately two days.

Operations will begin on Friday, Sept. 10 at 6 a.m. and end on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.

Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Hendry County Engineering Department will notify the public of any changes.
