Roof project begins on historic Hendry County Courthouse

LABELLE — Chris-Tel Construction, construction manager for the Hendry County Historical Courthouse project, began the “Old Hendry County Courthouse Hurricane Irma Storm Damage Restoration” project on June 22.

The project is sponsored in part by the Department of State, Division of Historical Resources, and the State of Florida.

This $336,112 roof project is being completed in conjunction with other repairs to the exterior of the Historic Courthouse that are being performed by Chris-Tel Construction, which commenced on Feb. 21.

The repairs to the historic courthouse are expected to be completed by Jan. 30, 2021.

Visitors to the courthouse are asked to be mindful that they are entering an active construction site.

Please allow ample time, as parking and entrances may be affected at times due to construction.

Always take CAUTION when near an active construction site.
