PAHOKEE – Mayra Gomez is officially the “Hands-On Experiment Queen” at Glades Academy Carter School. In just two days she provided K-8 students with a number of hands-on experiments and activities. From chemical reactions, to animal life cycles and adaptation models to learning about the sun.
Glades Academy’s 21st Century Program serves students at risk of academic failure, including English Language Learners, students in special education, and students with social and emotional needs.
