Summer VPK program will begin accepting registrations April 18

LABELLE — The Summer VPK program is for students who are or will be five years of age by Sept. 1, 2022 and have not already enrolled or participated in a School Year VPK program. (Students may participate in VPK during the school year or during the summer – not both).

The Summer VPK schedule is June 6 through July 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. There will be no school from July 4–8.

Summer VPK is held at Upthegrove Elementary School, 280 N. Main St. in LaBelle.

Summer VPK registration will be held at Upthegrove Elementary School from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the following dates:
• Monday, April 18,
• Tuesday, April 26,

• Thursday, April 28,
• Tuesday, May 4.

All students that are able to submit an approved Certificate of Eligibility from the Early Learning Coalition will be able to participate in the Summer VPK program. Please register early and submit your Certificate of Eligibility to Mrs. F. Talada at Upthegrove Elementary School or Mr. Talada at the Federal Programs office, or at one of the events listed above so they can plan for an exciting Summer VPK experience for your child.

Documents required to register:
1. Child’s birth certificate or passport
2. Parental proof of address (electric bill, driver’s license, lease or rent receipt with address

3. Complete a School Registration Form – 2 sides
4. State of Florida Health Examination Form dated within one year of entry date.
5. State of Florida Certification of Immunization Form
