Notice to navigation 2021-023: Okeechobee Waterway

GLADES COUNTY — A notice to navigation interests was issued on Sunday, Oct. 9 and will be in effect until the area has been cleared.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers advises boaters there is a sunken private vessel on the port side or left descending side of the canal downstream of Ortona Lock. The channel is still open to navigation but caution should be taken when navigating through this area.
