Superintendent twirls with the band

MOORE HAVEN -- Glades County Superintendent of Schools Beth Browning Barfield joined the Moore Haven Middle-High School Band Oct. 8. "After 32 years, I took to the 50 yard line once again with the MHMHS Band and twirled to to Moore Haven Fight Song!" she shared on social media. "I was so excited and really nervou,. NOT because the amount of time since I twirled, but praying I didn’t have a heart attack due to the marching requirement. (Age is only a number …right?) The band members were beyond helpful and so welcoming. They truly are the nicest and most polite students. They kept encouraging me and saying things like, 'Dr. Barfield, You can do this'… 'Don’t be nervous'… and then one student said, 'Dr. Barfield, You move really good for an old lady!' "
