Taste of Immokalee Students ready to bring fresh JOY to Holidays

Posted

IMMOKALEE — Taste of Immokalee’s annual holiday sales begin this week with the launch of this year’s theme, Igniting Dreams. 100% profits are used to provide scholarships, internships, and fuel our nonprofit youth entrepreneurship program, Taste the Impact. This vital program empowers teens to break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their impoverished, migrant farm-working community of Immokalee, Florida. Gift recipients near and far will love the burst of fresh Florida flavors found in the specialty products, as well as the realization that their gift directly benefits the youth that created and packed it.

The students are pleased to present this year’s gift bundles, with something special for everyone, from the Breakroom Snack to the Holiday Party Deluxe bundle.

Gift bundles are created from Taste of Immokalee products, made with fresh local produce, combining favorites such as salsa and chips, BBQ and hot sauces, and the return of the popular Orange Zest Chocolate Chip cookies (only available during the Christmas season). Local favorite baker, Mikkelsen’s Pastry Shop, is teaming up with Taste of Immokalee this year again to bake these cookies, which are shipped to customers within hours of baking.

Gift recipients love the healthy alternatives to holiday sweets, as well as the meaning behind their gift. Every bundle tells the story of Taste of Immokalee and the students behind the enterprise. It’s a unique gift that not only gives back but also IGNITES DREAMS! Taste of Immokalee gift bundles can also be customized for corporate gift giving, and are a wonderful way for companies to send socially conscious gifts that support our local community.
