Text, Talk and Tacos event promotes literacy

LABELLE  -- LaBelle Middle School's Text, Talk and Tacos event on Oct. 14 was a success.

Keynote speakers were  Mrs. Reyes-Rodriguez and Mrs. Mendez, local Hispanic author and entrepreneur who reiterated why reading and literacy is important.
 
The school thanked Winn-Dixie of LaBelle for donatons and the LMS AVID students for their community service.
 
The program had representation from the school library, the Federal Programs of Hendry County Schools, representation and artifacts of literacy from each core subject at LMS, and a reading zone.
