"The Elves and the Shoemaker" now playing at Firehouse Community Theatre

LABELLE -- The Firehouse Community Theatre presents the upbeat musical play, "The Elves and the Shoemaker," which premiered Friday, Dec. 2. 

Two more shows took place Dec. 3 and 4 and three more shows will take place Friday, Dec, 9, Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11. Show times are 7 p.m. and the Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m.

Theatre President Michael Slough said this familiar tale is laced with clever dialogue to make audiences of all ages smile and has a wonderful Christmas feel.

 "The cast and crew has been practicing for a over two months and was interrupted by a hurricane," Slough said. "Twenty one youth actors are in this play with 10 crew members helping. The music is original to this production."

The theatre is located at 241 N. Bridge St. in LaBelle.
