NAPLES — The Immokalee Foundation needs online votes from the public through Oct. 2 for a chance to win a $25,000 grant from State Farm, which selected the foundation as a Top 200 Finalist in a national competition.

U.S. residents who are 18 and older with a valid email address can vote for The Immokalee Foundation up to 10 times each day through Oct. 2 at State Farm Neighborhood Assist (neighborhoodassist.com/entry/2033449). The top 40 vote-receiving causes will be announced online Nov. 4, and a $25,000 grant will be awarded to each of the affiliated nonprofits.

“By voting online, the community is supporting our mission of creating pathways to education and careers for the youth of Immokalee,” said Noemi Y. Perez, president and CEO of The Immokalee Foundation. “This State Farm grant will help ensure our hardworking students have resources to excel.”

State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative that empowers communities to identify issues in their neighborhoods. The State Farm Review Committee selected the top 200 finalists from 2,000 submissions.

The Immokalee Foundation provides a range of education programs that focus on building pathways to professional careers through support, mentoring and tutoring, and life skills development leading to economic independence.
