Posted

OKEECHOBEE — After an undercover drug operation, a local woman was charged with possession with the intent to sell Hydromorphone and with the sale or delivery of Hydromorphone. Ashley Ann Bobo Melvin, 36, Southeast 24th Boulevard was arrested Feb. 18 by Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Deputy Noah Wenrick.

According to the probable cause report, Melvin was the target of an undercover drug operation by the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force. In April of 2020, a confidential source was used to attempt to purchase Hydromorphone from Melvin, who at that time was located at the Travel Lodge Hotel. The confidential source was successful in purchasing the drug, and a request for a warrant was made.

In September of 2020, a judge’s warrant was issued by Judge Michael Heisey.

Her bond was set at $5,000.
