VA Medical Center to provide free gun locks and other resources to veterans on Sept. 22

WEST PALM BEACH — The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center will provide free gun locks and other resources during its drive-thru event for Suicide Prevention Month on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center outside of the VA Chapel, 7305 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach.

September is Suicide Prevention Month. Veterans are invited to a drive thru event at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center to pick up a free canvas bag filled with free gifts and resources.

Gun Locks are available for veterans needing help keeping their firearm(s) safely stored. Veterans will also receive a coupon for a free beverage at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center’s Canteen.

All participants must remain in their car and wear a mask when driving by the pick-up location.
