Veterans seek donations to help tornado victims

Posted

As all should know by now, eight states have been devastated by tornadoes. We at X-22adventures.org and Okeechobee American Legion Post #64 have partnered to begin gathering donations of items and/or money to go directly to the people and families of all tornado victims.

We are accepting the following items to donate:
• Non-perishable food items,
• Baby formula and baby food
• Diapers and baby wipes
• Cleaning or bathing wipes
• Good condition and clean clothing for men, women, children and babies: Remember it’s winter time there and cold. This includes socks and shoes.
• Blankets and bedding
• Tents

• Flashlights and any camping gear.
• Camp cooking equipment.
• Air mattresses
• Toiletries
• Water
• Gift cards that will allow a family to use them anywhere for their needs.

Please call Stephen Cone at 863-801-7729 or Retired Police Detective Bill Saum at 863-634-0957 for any questions or drop off locations.

The Okeechobee drop off location will be at Lake and Trail USA Storage facility at the following address:

1200 State Road 78

Okeechobee, Florida 34974
863-357-1890
Attn: X-22 Adventures tornado donations

We thank you in advance for your contribution.

Note: If there are any other local organizations that would like to partner with us please contact Steve Cone at 863-801-7729.

God bless the USA!
