Zoning changes to allow more housing

OKEECHOBEE – Okeechobee County Commissioners approved three requests to expand residential zoning at their Aug. 25 meeting.
 
A zoning change from Agriculture to Residential Single Family (RSF) was approved for 15 lots on N.W. 39th Avenue in Basswood.

A zoning change from Commerical to RSF was also approved for lots along N.W. 35th Drive in the Basswood area.

A zoning change was also approved from Agriculture to RSF for lots along N.W. 138th Street in the Northwood Section One subdivision.
 
RSF zoning allows single family conventional dwellings but does not allow manufactured homes or farm animals.
