Palm Beach State College’s Lake Worth campus to reopen Friday

Posted

LAKE WORTH — Palm Beach State College’s Lake Worth campus will reopen Friday, Oct. 28, for in person classes, activities and operations.

For today, Oct. 27, all evening classes will be conducted remotely. College activities are cancelled with one exception. An outdoor community Trunk or Treat event taking place at the Lake Worth campus will continue as scheduled. The event is sponsored by the Office of Student Activities in conjunction with the Student Government Association and Campus Activity Board. This event is being relocated to the grounds of the Education and Training at the corner of Lake Worth Road and Congress Avenue.

Campus operations were disrupted Thursday following a severe water main break. Several pipes were in need of repair. Crews are onsite and expected to complete repairs by the end of the day. The water main impacted is located between the Science (SCA) and Social Science (SS) buildings on the Lake Worth campus. There will be no potable water available on Friday, but the facilities and restrooms will be fully functioning.
