U.S. Sugar supports Glades Community Youth Fishing Initiative

Posted

BELLE GLADE — Recently, U.S. Sugar Community Relations Director Brannan Thomas joined Jeffery Willis, known as Muck City Angler in the MCA youth fishing camp at Pioneer Park Elementary School in Belle Glade. The people of U.S. Sugar sponsored the event, which helped more than two dozen local kids from Pioneer Park Elementary and Lakeshore Middle School learn fishing skills and techniques.

“Growing up in the Glades, I came to learn that fishing - along with our faith, football and farming - is a way of life,” said Thomas. “We are proud to help support the next generation of fishermen and women in these Glades communities.”

“Thanks to support from U.S. Sugar, our organization is able to reach even more kids and help them develop their fishing skills,” said Willis. “Through this partnership, we are helping to teach kids lifelong skills and promote recreation in our Glades fishing and farming communities.”
