The United States Postal Service (USPS) is warning the public of a new scam. "If you receive a text claiming to be from USPS about a package 'awaiting action,' please delete it immediately and do not open the link. These messages have no affiliation with USPS and compromise your personal data if clicked."
The post office does not have your phone number, stated a spokesperson from USPS. "We will never call you."
The USPS website lists some things to look for to help you avoid scams.
