Florida B. Thomas Library Summer Fun was fantastic

Posted

CLEWISTON — The Summer Programs here at the Florida B. Thomas Library were nothing short of fantastic. Starting all events off with the Senior Checkers and Domino matches! You could find our dedicated players in it to win it every Monday.

Three days a week, YMCA Summer Camp would stop by and participate in a number of different learning experiences and team work activities! Leaning into more hands on activities, we also offered our crochet and sewing classes for beginners as well as those wanting to brush up on their skills!

Last but not least, ending an eventful summer with our reading contest! In this contest, all students were able to read books for entries! The student with the most books read, won the contest and a gift basket! We are so proud of our contest winners Aamiya Maddox and Tremaine Lawson! We are so very proud of all of our contestants, taking time out of their summer break to dive into a book!

Even though summer break is over, The Florida B. Thomas Library is still letting the good times roll. We’re looking forward to more reading, Senior Citizen Bingo, poetry workshops and art classes! So come on in! Our shelves and doors welcome you all!
