Gail, age 82, of LaBelle, Florida passed away after a brief illness on June 6, 2023, in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
Gail was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 2, 1941, to the late Thomas James Woods and Oda Mary Heileman Woods. She was the owner/operator of Sal-Cal Pizza in LaBelle for 25 years. She was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church where she played the organ for masses for many years. She recently started attending Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Fort Myers. Gail had a great sense of humor, always had a smile on her face and was a loving, caring person who would do whatever she could do to help anyone in need. Gail was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Gail leaves fond memories with her loving husband of 17 years, Jesse Cuello, of LaBelle; her loving children: Teresa Dobson, Anita Loux and her husband David, Melinda Patterson and her husband Alec, along with her loving grandchildren Jessica Loux Vasquez, Thomas Loux, Jacqueline Lous Ford, Gerran Perez, Erin Loux Sidorsky, Crystal Perez Evans, Liz Ann Swain, Allie Loux Santana, Kelsey Patterson and Duncan Patterson; her adoring great grandchildren: Nadia Vasquez, Jailee Vasquez, Alayah Vasquez, Rhett Butler, Natasha Cribbs, Chloe Swain and Elle Evans. Gail also leaves fond memories with her step-daughters; Caroline Cuello, Maria Deanna Cuello, Anna Alicia Cuello, Maria Elena Collins and Camille Dugas along with many church friends and community members.
Visitation was from 5-7 pm Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle. Gail’s life was celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church where Father Jiobani Batista was presiding. Burial took place at Fort Denaud Cemetery immediately after. A reception for friends and family was held at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church Parrish Hall at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
