Hendry County Arrest Report

The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the Clewiston City Police Department (CPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC), July 25 through July 31.

• Dylan Vary, 22, Clewiston, was arrested July 25 by Deputy D. Coronilla and charged with two counts felony probation violation, and fleeing and eluding.

• Cristobal Contreras, 45, North Fort Myers, was arrested July 26 by Deputy J. Escobedo and charged with driving while license suspended, and third or subsequent violation.

• Roberto Cruz Rangel, 49, LaBelle, was arrested July 26 by Deputy J. Escobedo and charged with DUI, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and possession of controlled substance without a prescription.

• Jose Gomez-Canales, 38, Clewiston, was arrested July 27 by Deputy Sheriff D. Givans and charged with felony probation violation and misdemeanor probation violation.

• Leatrice Cypress, 41, Clewiston, was arrested July 27 by Sgt. J. Olvera and charged with felony probation violation.

• Reese Capozzi, 35, Wellington, was arrested July 27 by Deputy D. Givans and charged with of DUI, possession of vessel part with an altered hull ID, and reckless operation of vessel.

• Shomori Butler, 30, Clewiston, was arrested July 28 by Cpl. S. Rivera and charged with felony probation violation, armed robbery, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

• Javier Campbell, 17, Clewiston was arrested July 28 by Deputy L. Rodriguez and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of deadly weapon by juvenile.

• Winston Gikes, 24, Georgia, was arrested July 29 by Investigator A. Nelson and charged with attempted murder.
