Tony Gary Strickland, Sr.

Tony, 85, of Crawfordville, passed away on January 1, 2024. He was at home with his family by his side.
Tony was a member of River of Life Church and a native Floridian. He was a lifelong cattleman and dairyman. He and his wife owned dairy farms in Okeechobee/Brandenton before moving back to Crawfordville in 2000. His career was in dairy management, primarily in diet and artificial insemination of cattle.
While in South Florida, he worked in the cattle industry in Okeeochobee, Manatee County and Bradenton. He was also manager for the Larson Dairy. He was a member of Wakulla County Cattlemen Association. Tony had a wealth of knowledge, and he was always willing to help people understand the cattle industry. He helped with cattle nutrition, breeding and birthing.
Survivors include his children, Tony Strickland (Ginger), Rhett Strickland (Lori), William Strickland (Trish), Tina Rey and Samantha Bellew (Shannon); brother, Bill Strickland (Susan); 22 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jane Ellen Strickland.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM at River of Life Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery.
