Two killed in single vehicle crash

COLLIER COUNTY -- A 45-year-old Clewiston woman and  28-year-old Immokalee man were killed in a single-vehicle accident in Collier County on May 27, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

The woman was driving a sedan traveling south on County Line Road, north of County Road 858 (Oil Well Road) around 11:10 p.m. when the accident occurred, according to the FHP report.

The vehicle traveled past the stop sign at the intersection of County Road 858, entered the shoulder and collided with a tree.

The vehicle came to rest on the right grass shoulder of the eastbound lane of County Road 858. Both the driver and the passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
