Glades County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 9 and Thursday, Nov. 10 due to Tropical Storm Nicole.

Glades County officials working in conjunction with Okeechobee County Emergency Operations to help transport Buckhead Ridge residents who want to go to the hurricane shelter at South Elementary in Okeechobee.

A Glades County Schools school bus will meet any resident who wishes to be transported at the Buckhead Ridge Fire Department at 10 a.m. on Wednesday!

They will  transport all of these residents who chose to be transported to the shelter, and will transport them back to BHR on Thursday after the storm has passed and we an all clear is given.
