Special to the Caloosa Belle Independent
LABELLE – Barron Library went to the dogs in May. On May 4, the library welcomed special guests Mrs. Ellen Ferguson, her sidekick Lyric, and Ms. Sue Coffman, and her mini sidekick Bug. They read “Some Dog” by Mary Casanova & “Not Afraid Of Dogs” by Susanna Pitzer.
On May 11, Storytime featured “Harry the Dirty Dog,” by Gene Zion, and “Can I Be Your Dog” by Troy Cummings. The kids got to spend time with library-friendly dogs Shelby, Bonnie, Demo, and Boyd and then made their own puppy dog masks.
On May 18, Mrs. Ellen Ferguson read “Stanley & Norman, Bad Boy Basset Brothers” by Frank Monahan and “Dylan’s Day” by Tim Hutchinson.
