IMMOKALEE — Pathways Early Education Center of Immokalee (Pathways) hosted a Storybook Parade for the children, with a live broadcast on Facebook for families to share in the fun.

Pathways’ students have been using their creative minds to bring storybook characters to life. In providing hands-on literacy enrichment, Pathways has themed each classroom in the learning center with an age-appropriate storybook. Throughout the year, teachers incorporate the storybook characters and lessons into the classroom. During October, they help students create costumes that bring to life the literacy lessons that have been taught through the season.

At the end of the month, the center hosted a storybook parade for the students to share their successes with family members. Because of COVID-19 protocols, the center livestreamed the parade on Facebook for all of their students family members to enjoy.

“Pathways families work so hard to ensure their children have a better life. We are always so excited to share in the successes, even if it has to be a virtual celebration right now,” said Beth Hatch, executive director of Pathways Early Learning Center of Immokalee.
