Labor Day Weekend Rodeo Sept. 1-3, starting at 7 p.m.

OKEECHOBEE -- The Okeechobee Cattlemen’s Association will present the Pete Clemons Labor Day Weekend Rodeo, Friday, Sept. 1, Saturday Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 3. Gates open at 5 p.m. Mutton Bustin starts at 6:30 p.m. Rodeo action starts at 7 p.m.

Due to the intense summer heat this year, the Labor Day Rodeo Weekend rodeos will be evening events.

Rodeo events will include bull riding, barrel racing, and roping competitions that showcase the finest talents in the world of professional rodeo.

Tickets are available online or at the gate. Advance tickets are $20 per person (ages 13 and up) online or $25 at the gate. Tickets for kids ages 6-12 are $10. Children ages 5 and under will be admitted free with a paid adult.

Seats are first-come, first served. Parking is $5 per vehicle with proceeds benefiting Okeechobee students.

Bring cash for the concession stands which are operated by local youth groups.

On Monday, Sept. 4, Okeechobee Main Street will host the Labor Day Festival in Flagler Park in downtown Okeechobee from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Labor Day Parade will be at 10 a.m.
