We are happy to announce the Barron Library Book Club will begin meeting again in November. The time for the monthly meeting has been changed, so please take note: FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH at 10 a.m. November’s meeting will be on Nov. 6. Book selection for the first meeting is “Still Me” by Jojo Moyes. December selection is “The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride” by Joe Siple. As the book club begins to meet again, they will be practicing social distancing, and are requested to wear masks when entering the library. The meetings will be in the River Room where there is more area to spread out. Everyone interested in participating is encouraged to join.

Barron Library is currently open Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4:45 pm, and Saturday, 10 am to 1 pm. We do require mask wearing and ask that you practice social distancing at all times. Patrons may browse and select their own reading materials, but we ask that it be done in a timely manner, allowing the next person access as well. All returns should be put in the night drop, located outside of the front entrance, to the right of the door. Only three public computers are available, and time is limited.

The library has continued to purchase new releases, so there are many new titles available for your reading pleasure. The 2020-2021 Sunshine States books are also available for student readers. You can also select Ebooks at hendrycountylibraries.org.
