SOUTHWEST FLORIDA- The Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership (CHNEP) Nature Calendar Photography Contest is currently open now through July 1, 2021. Participants may submit up to three images.
CHNEP is a partnership of citizens, elected officials, and resource managers working together to protect and restore water and wildlife habitat in Central and Southwest Florida since 1995. Because it is a partnership with the goal of protecting the native, natural environment of southwest Florida, images of animals in distress because of possible interference or harassment will not be considered. Entries of non-native plants and animals will also not be considered.
The goal is to show diversity, entries of subjects other than birds have a better chance of being used. CHNEP asks for entries of sea life, landscapes (especially of our estuaries), weather, plants, and people enjoying the environment.
The submitted I mages must be taken within the CHNEP program area which is from Venice to Bonita Springs to Clewiston to Winter Haven.
(Please see the area map on the CHNEP website: https://www.chnep.org/)
