CLEWISTON – A Clewiston man was killed Wednesday morning (April 17) in a head-on automobile collision.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, a 39-year-old Clewiston man was was traveling north on Country Road 833 (Sam Jones Trail), north of Country Road 846, at 6:46 a.m., when his sedan entered the southbound lane of travel directly in the path of a southbound pickup truck.
The pickup truck driver, a 36-year-old Sebring woman, veered right in an attempt to avoid the collision. The front of pickup collided with the right side of sedan.
The Clewiston man was killed in the crash. The Sebring woman received minor injuries, according to the FHP report.
The crash remains under investigation.
