OKEECHOBEE — An investigation was opened after the Criminal Investigative division received a cyber tip about an individual within Okeechobee County uploading child pornography onto the internet. Evidence dating back to 2022 was found during the investigation, and a suspect was recently identified. The suspect was identified as Robert Lee Middleton III, 41.
This investigation led to a probable cause search warrant being served on April 10th, 2024, at Robert's residence, on U.S. 441 SE, in Okeechobee County.
During the probable cause search warrant, Robert was apprehended, and evidence was collected inside the residence, which led to him being charged with possession and transmission of child pornography.
Robert was transported without incident to the Okeechobee County Jail.
This investigation is still on going.
