Customer benefit: Solar energy is the most cost-effective source of power generation FPL can invest in today, and these solar sites provide low-cost, reliable energy to FPL customers throughout the state.

• Solar energy requires no fuel to operate, which can help stabilize customer bills by removing fuel costs.

Community benefits: Each of the sites provides numerous benefits to the counties they operate in and the surrounding community, including:

• Hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual tax revenue, funds that can be used to enhance schools, infrastructure and emergency services

• Protection against urban sprawl

• No impact on public services

• No need for fuel

• Increased biodiversity and habitats for native wildlife

Introducing FPL SolarTogether®: Of the 16 new sites, six of them are community solar sites that support the FPL SolarTogether® program, which provides voluntary subscribers the ability to lower their electric bills with credits that increase over time.

• How it works: FPL SolarTogether® participants receive monthly bill credits for their share of solar energy produced by the company’s community solar sites.

• Customer credits grow over time to exceed the program cost and can help reduce their bills.

• All eligible FPL customers can participate regardless of whether they rent or own their home, apartment, condo or business.

• FPL now has 26 solar energy centers across the state that support the program.

• Customers can visit FPL.com/SolarTogether for more information.

A word from FPL Vice President of Universal Solar Brandon Stankiewicz: “We are incredibly proud to continue to bring the great benefits of solar energy to our customers throughout the state. As we bring more solar sites online, we’re working to remove fuel costs from our customers’ bills while continuing to provide the reliable energy our customers expect. With the expansion of FPL SolarTogether®, our customers can also experience the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy while helping reduce their bills over time. We’re thankful for the partnerships we’ve developed with communities and counties throughout the state and will continue to invest in innovative technology that benefits our customers and neighbors.”
