MOORE HAVEN — The Glades County Board of Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, with one pubic hearing on a Comprehensive Plan amendment set to start it off.
The public hearing is for transmittal to state regulators of the proposed Text Amendment to the Future Land Use Element of the Glades County Comprehensive Plan, which was brought about by commissioners to align current zoning with future plans for land development in the county.
Also on the agenda are:
• A resolution in support of the M-CORES Selection of the Southwest Central Florida Corridor — a strip of land that will be the site of a future toll road connecting Polk County with Collier and will run through Glades;
• An interlocal agreement with the City of Moore Haven regarding the Small County Surtax.
