OKEECHOBEE -- The County Coalition for responsible management of Lake Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee Estuaries and the Lake Worth Lagoon will meet Friday, Feb. 26, at 9 a.m. in the Historic Okeechobee County Courthouse, 302 N.W. Second Street.
The coalition includes representatives from Glades, Hendry, Highlands, Lee, Martin, Okeechobee, Osceola, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Charlotte, Collier and Broward counties.
The meeting will include updates by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the South Florida Water Management District on projects related to the watersheds.
A presentation about the Lake Worth Lagoon is also on the agenda.
The coalition will also discuss the priorities to present to the Florida Legislature.
