OCSO celebrates National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week

Posted

OKEECHOBEE — On April 17,  Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office celebrated National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week with a breakfast event at the Animal Control Office to show gratitude for the hardworking officers.

These individuals work tirelessly to maintain a safe environment for Okeechobee and all animals under their care. They collaborate with agencies nationwide to place pets in homes and non-kill shelters whenever possible.

It's a difficult, scrutinized, and often thankless job, but the people in this picture work tirelessly every day.
