OKEECHOBEE -- Okeechobee Main Street's Taste of Okeechobee was held Feb. 3, in downtown Okeechobee. Participants had a chance to sample food from Applebee's, Nutmeg's Cafe, Beef O'Brady's, Okee Poke, Big Tasty's, Pueblo Viejo, Sublime and Niki's Dixie Donuts. In addition, the following Park Street businesses participated in a beverage walk: Main Street Hub, Staffords Salon, Beautiful Mess Boutique, Remmington Real Estate, Hippie Daze, The Outpost, Kailani Oasis, The Purple Orchid, Mira Realty, Park Street Place and The TATTOO Shop.
Participants in Taste of Okeechobee had a chance to vote for their favorites. The 2024 Best Taste of Okeechobee award went to Okee Poke. 2024 People's Choice Award went to Nutmeg's Cafe.
The 2025 Taste of Okeechobee is planned for Feb. 8, 2025.
