PAHOKEE – Two Pahokee men are accused of shooting a 23-year-old man in front of his mother.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report, on April 25, around 8:30 p.m., deputies and Palm Beach County Fire/Rescue staff responded to Daniels Place in Pahokee in reference to a shooting.

Deputies located an unresponsive male lying in the street on the north side of Daniels Place, by the sidewalk. Fire/Rescue pronounced the man deceased at 8:39 p.m. The shooting victim was identified as Jimtravis Lee Gray, 23.

Deputies found numerous handgun and rifle casings on the scene.

Barbara Ann Washington, the victim’s mother, told deputies Gray had been involved in an ongoing dispute with individuals known as Diggy, Norris and Ferger. Apparently, an altercation had taken place earlier in the day between Gray and Diggy.

The PBSO report states that around 5 p.m., deputies had responded to a shooting at The Blue Store. They found Jaharis “Diggy” Kinsler had been shot. Kinsler survived the shooting but refused to cooperate with the PBSO investigation.

She said she and her son were walking together toward Daniels Place, when Norris and Ferger walked out from behind a building, carrying firearms. She said Norris was carrying a pistol and Ferger was carrying a long gun. She said they walked towards her and Gray and started shooting, then ran behind a building. Washington said she was within feet of her son when the shooting started and she did not know how she escaped being hit.

A short time later, she saw a vehicle she recognized as Ferger’s Chevrolet fleeing eastbound from the scene.

During the course of the investigation, Norris was identified as Lanorris Lamar Lee, 33 and Ferger was identified as Anthony Bernard Evans, 38.

Lee and Evans were each charged with premeditated murder with a firearm and attempted premeditated first degree murder with a firearm.

Lee was arrested April 25. Evans was arrested April 29.
