PALM BEACH COUNTY — The School District of Palm Beach County will have the majority of schools participating in the Afterschool Meals Program for the 2021 – 2022 school year. The program is funded by the USDA and administered in Florida by the Department of Health, Bureau of Child Care Food Programs. Since the inception of the program in 2015, over 14 million supper meals and snacks have been served to students.
The Offer Vs. Serve menu is designed to provide a nutritious meal to children in the afterschool programs containing a meat or meat alternate, a grain, a fruit, a vegetable and a milk. Many schools this year will be providing daily take home snacks as well as suppers to students attending after school programs. Snacks and/or meals will be available at no separate charge to children attending the sites listed below, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
The schools participating in this year’s program are:
• Belle Glade Elementary, 500 NW Ave. L, Belle Glade
• Crossroads Academy High, 1102 W Ave. A, Belle Glade
• Everglades Prep Academy High 360 E Main St., Pahokee
