Publix Charities awards $61,000 grant to RCMA

Generous grant to fund construction project and after school programs

MULBERRY – RCMA (Redlands Christian Migrant Association) is thrilled to announce the generous contribution of a $61,000 grant from Publix Charities, aimed at bolstering educational opportunities at RCMA’s Mulberry Community Academy. This substantial grant will support several key initiatives focused on enhancing learning environments and programming for students.

The grant allocation encompasses diverse areas to fortify the educational experience for Mulberry Community Academy students. A significant portion will be dedicated to the construction of outdoor decking for modular classrooms, providing additional learning space for the growing campus.

In addition to the decking project, funds will be allocated towards acquiring essential STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) supplies, empowering students to delve into hands-on learning experiences that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills crucial for their future success.

Furthermore, a portion of the grant will be instrumental in supporting after-school programs, including chess boards and timers for the Academy’s chess club, arts and crafts materials, and health and wellness and sports equipment. These funds enable RCMA to expand and enrich the offerings available to students outside of regular school hours.

“We are immensely grateful to Publix Charities for their steadfast commitment to empowering education and their generous contribution towards enhancing the learning landscape at Mulberry Community Academy,” expressed Isabel Garcia, Executive Director at RCMA. “This grant not only represents a significant investment in our students’ futures but also a belief in the transformative power of education to shape brighter tomorrows.”

The collaborative efforts between RCMA and Publix Charities underscore a shared dedication to fostering educational excellence and nurturing the growth of young minds within the Mulberry community.
