OKEECHOBEE- The Okeechobee High School Brahman football program is hosting a Purple and White scrimmage game on May 11 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The eighth grade showcase starts on 4 p.m., while the JV and varsity showcase begins at 5 p.m. Admission is free but the team is selling barbecue dinner plates for $10 with proceeds going to support the Brahman football program.
This July the team is hosting a youth football camp. The three-day camp is designed for student-athletes who want to develop their football skills and take their game to the next level. Entrance fee for the camp is $50. A t-shirt and snacks are provided for attendees. Contact Brahman football coach B.J. The Brahman football program put together their first winning season in nearly ten years last season. Okeechobee finished with a 6-4 record. The Brahman defense held Okeechobee’s first three opponents scoreless while the offense racked up 141 points in the same three-game timespan.
This year the program also had five seniors sign letters of intent to continue their education and athletic careers at the next level.
