Stroke Awareness Lunch & Learn planned

OKEECHOBEE --  When stroke strikes, seconds count. Join  HCA Raulerson Hospital for a stroke awareness lunch and learn session. Learn about the symptoms of stroke and HCA Healthcare's local treatments options.

Director of Emergency Services and Stroke Coordinator, Kathy Selby, will lead us though an educational lunch and learn event.

Since 2016, HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital has been designated and licensed as a Primary Stroke Center by the Agency for Health Care Administration. HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is backed by HCA East Florida's network of hospitals and clinical resources to provide the best possible care for stroke patients. Patients presenting in the ER with stroke related symptoms will trigger an internal Stroke Alert Code to notify and activate relative clinical caregivers.

The program is planned for Feb. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Williamson Conference Center at Indian River State College, 2229 N.w. Ninth Ave., Okeechobee. 

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The lecture will start proptly at noon.
