OKEECHOBEE — On Saturday, Nov. 11, a 35-year-old Stuart woman was arrested and charged with exposure of sexual organs after being found naked in a parking lot on Northwest 16th Boulevard.

According to the arrest affidavit, on Nov. 11 at approximately 7:50 a.m. OCSO Deputy Kanarick was patrolling the area of US Highway 98 North around the airport when he noticed a person sitting on the ground near a vehicle on Northwest 16th Boulevard.

The deputy reports that he noticed that the person did not have a shirt on and he initially thought it was someone working on their vehicle but when he looked again he noticed the person wasn’t wearing any pants.

The deputy turned his vehicle around and made contact with the person, at which time he realized that it was a female, and she wasn’t wearing any clothes. When the deputy asked for her name she asked him what he was doing there and told him that he did not need to be there.

The woman told the deputy that the vehicle she was sitting next to was hers but when the deputy ran the plate number it came back registered to a man.

The deputy reports the woman kept looking around like she was looking for someone and she appeared to be covered in dirt. She told the deputy that she lived in the building next to them, which was a roofing company.

The deputy then advised dispatch to send EMS as the woman was extremely confused. He then located a brown purse about 30 feet away where he found a license and was able to identify the woman. Also inside the purse the deputy found amphetamine salts, known as a form of Adderall, prescribed to her.

When additional units and Fire Rescue arrived, Fire Rescue asked the woman if she wanted to go to the hospital to be checked out or if she would be going to jail. The woman told them to just take her to jail.

When Deputy Weeks attempted to place her in hand restraints she began to resist but the deputy was able to restrain her. She was placed under arrest and charged with exposure of sexual organs. She was taken to the Okeechobee Jail along with her belongings.

Bond was set at $250.
