Woman arrested in cemetery restroom

Posted

OKEECHOBEE — After a woman was found washing her hair in the restroom sink at Evergreen Cemetery, she was charged with possession of methamphetamine. A detective from the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force arrived at the cemetery on March 18 at approximately 9:30 a.m. after a complaint about a woman who appeared to be on some type of narcotics.

When the detective arrived, he met with Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Deputy Adrien Rogers, who told him the woman had just walked into the restroom and because of the way she was acting, he was certain she was on some type of narcotics. The detective walked over to the restroom and made contact with the woman, who was later identified as Christina Hart, 30, from Bartow.

According to his report, the door of the restroom where Hart was located was standing wide open and she appeared to be washing her hair in the sink. When asked what she was doing, she said she was taking a bird bath. The report notes Hart could not stand still and appeared to be under the influence of a drug. A syringe cap was visible in the sink where she was washing her hair.

K-9 Samba was utilized to search for drugs and alerted to the driver’s door and the driver’s seat. A search of the vehicle reportedly found methamphetamine in Hart’s purse. She was charged with possession of methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $5,000.
