CLEWISTON -- On Monday, May 1, 2023, Hendry County’s contractor, Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC, will be conducting roadway construction services on CR835 in Clewiston, Fla. Construction services will occur on Rogers Curve, Saunders Curve, Blumberg Curve, Jackman Curve, and Southern Division Curve.
The project includes installation of guardrail, lighting, signing and pavement markings, paved shoulders, and asphalt milling and resurfacing on curves located on CR835.
The speed limit will be reduced through the project area.
Motorists should expect lane closures and possible delays throughout the duration of the project and allow extra time for their commute.
Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the work zone.
The project is expected to have a completion time of approximately two hundred forty (240) days to two hundred seventy (270) days.
The project is 100% funded under the Florida Department of Transportation Local Agency Program federal grant in the amount of $4,765,776.52.
