NAPLES — If you pass the Collier County Fairgrounds, 751 39th Ave. N.E., Naples, on Friday, Nov. 5, you’ll see an abundance of activity as local first responders set up booths to show Collier students the various career opportunities available to them.
Hosted by Collier County Public Schools (CCPS), the First Responders Career Fair – Heroes in Action offers students the ability to network with organizations such as the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), North Naples, Greater Naples, and Immokalee fire departments, Naples Police Department, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard, all while opening a world of opportunities to those in attendance. In addition to a car crash extrication using the Jaws of Life, demonstrations from the bomb squad, med flight, and CCSO drone are expected.
More than 500 students from the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) academies are planned to participate. Interviews will be available with those on site.
The fair is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
