Abuse Counseling committed to serving the community during COVID-19

LABELLE — Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc. (ACT) opened its shelter doors in LaBelle in August 2015 with one focus in mind, to continue to serve the needs of the Hendry and Glades county communities from a central location.

Fully operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ACT provides a 24-hour crisis hotline, community outreach counseling, emergency “safe” shelter, medical, legal and personal advocacy, rape crisis center and more. Even with COVID-19, we continue to provide 24/7 services to all victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in need.

“We want people to know that we are here always and all of our services are provided free to victims and their children. Calling 800-500-1119 for domestic violence and 888-956-7273 for sexual assault and human trafficking for help can make all the difference.”
